This is beautiful :) I love the backlighting. Little egrets are so elegant.

Thank you :) I like them too, I have been trying for aaaaaaaggggggggggeeeeeeessssssssss to get a good shot of one. We don't see them much eiter but they seem to be quite common in that part of Ireland.

There are a few reserves and gravel pits in the county where they are seen quite often. I really need to arrange some trips!

In Northants, Summer Leys and Pitsford Res have them fairly often. Stanwick Lakes/gravel pits probably have had them as well. I've seen them fly over my town (Kettering) a handful of times and came across one on the stream as well, on the way to work. Also there's a pair of Great White Egrets at Pitsford right now! As recent as 2 days ago apparently. They've been around a few weeks I think.

Nice, I'll drag my dad over there too! =p Dad often has work over your way so maybe I'll tag along and I can photograph stuff while he works lol!

There's Great Egrets?! Why oh why do I have to be in Manchester when all these cool things are arriving :(
