Its always difficult when photographing Natural history to get the shot you want, you either need lots of patience or lots of luck! (I fall into the luck category lol)
I am not sure if its my monitor or not, however it looks a tad on the dark side, maybe adjust the curves or levels slightly in CS? but be careful not to blow the highlights!
I like the overall composition of the shot, personally (a key word that!) I would of cropped the picture so that the space was to the left of the bird. I find especially with in-flight shots that if you give the bird 'space to fly into' it seems to suit the subject better?
A lovely shot which is an instant fav
