Please don't be offended if I don't personally say thank you for you favouriting my work, I'm afraid I just don't have time anymore due to Uni work increasing. I usually give out llamas so watch out for those and I'll always respond to comments
First off a lovely shot of a quite shy bird!! Its always difficult when photographing Natural history to get the shot you want, you either need lots of patience or lots of luck! (I fall into the luck category lol) I am not sure if its my monitor or not, however it looks a tad on the dark side, maybe adjust the curves or levels slightly in CS? but be careful not to blow the highlights! I like the overall composition of the shot, personally (a key word that!) I would of cropped the picture so that the space was to the left of the bird. I find especially with in-flight shots that if you give the bird 'space to fly into' it seems to suit the subject better? A lovely shot which is an instant fav Thank you for sharing!
REALLY would love to get a pic of one of these... sadly you don't see them often round here and when you do, they're too far away or they get shy and fly off. Would love to sketch some too. Great photo!
